In my day, a good pair of running shoes were simply called sneakers. Now there are stores with entire walls of all manner of these things with ridiculous names.
If the athletic footwear industry depended on curmudgeons like me, they would have been out of business years ago. I still have the one pair I bought some 20 years ago, and they are still like new, having been used like, never.
A lot of old curmudgeons wear these sneaker things and do that early morning mall walk thing.
But, please, once over, change into normal footwear. Civility, people, please.
