Mowing the Lawn

I love watching the lawn getting mowed, mostly because I am watching, not actually doing it. And the smell of a freshly mowed lawn the health of ours is almost intoxicating.

Our lawn mower, Julio, has been covering my rear for some 20 years. He does stuff that would never occur to me - mow straight one week, diagonally the next, and circular the third.

If I were in charge, it would have taken all three weeks to mow the damn thing once.
