Learning How To Sail

Due to the skipper, I am, like he, an expert sailor. Unfortunately, perhaps not quite the best sailing teacher.

So when I went on the first sail in my little boat with my Sainted wife, who was clueless in sailing matters, just out for a good time, I would yell orders with terms that sailors only knew at her at the last moment before a tack or jibe or something.

Trooper that she was, she came through every time. The boom never even hit her head.

Maybe I'm an OK teacher. Or just a very lucky husband.
