My plan A was a walking tour of the city's historic pubs. Pub food is really awful, but with enough beer, it wasn't the least bit inedible.
In our final evening, we dined at the Savoy. These are experiences that cannot be, and should not be forgotten. The Savoy, despite cooking British cuisine, was nothing less than stunning.
I even had a cigar after dinner. I presume that is what made me wretch, not the food.
But, to this day, I firmly recommend a dinner at the Savoy should not be missed.
Just skip the proferred cigars.
