Bluetooth - again

My faithful readers have noticed my commenting on Bluetooth technology.

Much like Monk, it is a blessing...and a curse.  It is the curse bit that a curmudgeon seizes upon.

I was paying bills today. To give my Sainted wife some quiet, I decided to use earphones - the whole thing is connected to my home stereo, but blasting The Who at a gazillion watts doesn't seem to go over big except for me.

I had to put the music source - stay with me here- the gazillion watt stereo is on, oh, something like vast power.  My iPhone does the programming work and works the volume.  My earphones work from the stereo.  Is this complicated enough yet?

I turn a corner.  True to its heritage, Bluetooth realizes I have violated the 23 inch thing and promptly shuts down. I have to put the iPhone in a friendly spot for all to go well. Can anything be more stupid? I have to put the iPhone someplace that is inconvenient for me, but convenient for Bluetooth.

It is a miracle the whole shebang isn't in the pool.
