Life Adventures

There are things that crop up in life that you have absolutely no clue how to handle.

Such was my experience when our furnace failed some time ago.  Furnaces, it seems, are in league with each other and take great pleasure failing during cold spells.

I rushed about looking into whatever buying a furnace entailed, and a kindly Lennox salesman suggested I needed their high-tech, fuel efficient "Pulse" furnace.

I have had $7,000 of buyers regret for 20 years.  They shouldn't have named it "Pulse" because they sort of gave things away.  I live by train tracks, but when this sucker fires up, neighborhood alarms go off, the cats flee, and the occasional guest gives me a quizzical look.

But I have to say, I'm warm.
