High Technology - or Is It High Anxiety?

Flat screen TVs are one of the marvels of our times.  High def, sometimes as large as 47 inches, as here in Command Central.  OK,OK, I know they can be WAY larger, but this thing is all of 6 feet away, so I thought for my $900 I should be conservative (curmudgeon stuff right there).

But my point here is with flat TVs, their sound, well, sucks. Our kitchen TV actually has the speakers in the back, so when my Sainted wife is watching some godforsaken early morning crappy, loud and useless invented news show, the sound is more focused on ME here in Command Central.

Being the technologist I am, I simply added a subwoofer to my TV.  The sound can't be beat. I know I could have connected up my entire stereo, but as a keen engineer, I realized that there were going to be WAY too many buttons to be pushed to run the thing.
