I recently saw Galaxy Quest again. If you've never seen it, you're really missing out. A remarkable cast, a great plot generally centered on Star Trek, Trekkies, a space adventure that is endlessly entertaining, and lots of humor.
Seeing the likes of Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Enrico Colantoni (Just Shoot Me) and a very young Justin Long hamming it up is priceless. Not to mention Tim Allen. Now, I recognize that my dear readers are not, by and large, science fiction buffs, but this is one time where it is lifted to an entirely different level.
