Lawnmowers

What is it with lawnmowers? These infernal things make their special noise - a lot - and at 18 inches, take forever to do their business.

My gardener makes a lot of noise as well, but he is done in 14 or 15 seconds. Neighbors? Hours.

You have just gotten settled outside, book open to where you left off, and one of these things starts up somewhere.

Now, I am a curmudgeon, yes, but I am not about to go anywhere near a device that has very sharp blades spinning about. I am going on 32 years with never having owned or touched one.

Lawns.  What a royal pain in the, um, you-know-what.
