Seasick

I was seasick once.  Big deal, you may aver. Yes, it was a big deal.

You really never, ever want to be seasick.  But such was the case. The Skipper had very limited vacation time, so the very first day was bring the boat down from its winter storage, some 20 miles further downeast.

Apparently the weather didn't get the memo on my Dad's vacation schedule.  We were fighting the tide, the wind had sort of crapped out (remember - no motor), and we were, how best can I say this? slogging along.

I became vomitacious. My dear mother, trying to help, offered some coffee from a thermos she had brought along.

I have been a tea drinker ever since.
