It has just occurred to the curmudgeon that he had forgotten an important connection in the dishware observations (14 sets, etc).
There is associated silverware as well - the everyday set, the fancy formal entertaining silver set. Then the special party set (both green and blue handled - don't get me started, but that means 2 sets), then the plasticware. You know, the really high-end stuff you put in the dishwasher after parties, rather than merely chucking and going back to Shoprite to replace
The curmudgeon lives in a 2500 sq foot cape, and it apparently falls upon the curmudgeon to find some way to store all this
If the curmudgeon's sainted wife didn't have such a good memory, a lot would "disappear"
