Milk Boiling Over

For any of you who have actually cooked a meal on a stove, there are recipes that include milk that if you don't watch carefully, boil over.

What the heck is going on? As the Societé technical guy, the Executive Council bozos expect me to know the answer to even stuff like this. Happily, I can simply make shit up - they won't know. I really have to introduce them to Google because I'm getting really tired of sounding like Mr. Know-it-all simply because I look everything up on Google myself.

The answer is a really simple one. You apparently tried to warm something over a hot open flame. This practice rarely comes out well, milk or anything else.

This is why man invented microwaves. There is hardly a soul alive who still uses a cooktop.  One, My Sainted wife, still uses one to perk her coffee every morning and expresses surprise every 3 days or so when the coffee boils over. Wow, what a surprise.

Milk? Two things: 1)refrigerate it properly and it never boils over, and 2) dab a little on your arm so the kid likes it.

Boiling milk?  What are you - a sadist or a scoutmaster?
