Life In Large Corporations

My Sainted wife was a corporate hotshot.  She RAN A BUSINESS.  By being nice.  This sort of thing is absolutely unheard of.  But she got things done.  Big time.  Our favorite boss took very good care of her - too good to lose.

I was technical, so I was indispensable in a different way. I also happened to have the ability to translate ridiculously technical things into a language my sales force could use.

So, OK, we were successful. Then came my little sister.  My Sainted wife and I were what one would describe as middle management.  My little sister is what one would call a senior executive.  Not unlike my wife, she is softly and well-spoken.  Things get done.  If you realize you actually pissed her off, when you go home that evening, you shoot yourself.

This is where corporate life gets going.  She is thinking of retiring. They are inventing all manner of incentives to keep her.

She is my hero.
