Anybody who is breathing and grew up here in New Jersey remembers Crazy Eddie's - prices that couldn't be beat. My trusty college-era Harmon Kardon stereo had finally breathed its last, so I walked into Crazy Eddie's and said "Do Me."
I'm not making this up. It was the 80s, I was rich and full of myself. And Eddie delivered: 4' tall speakers with 10" woofers (and passive radiators that apparently add extra woof), and a remote-control system that can't be beat.
Whew! Those were the days - now I whine at the grocery store checkout because my $1 off coupon isn't still valid.
